Open to children of all ages... Egg Stravaganza will be an eggstra-special day. Please note that activities marked with a "*" have a fee.

Bunny Brunch*   9:00 a.m.

Center for History - 808 W. Washington St.
Children and parents are invited to enjoy a buffet breakfast, complete with a "Choose-Your-Own-Topping" pancake bar. Festivities include an "Egg-citing Hunt" for hidden eggs as well as "Greets & Treats with Peter Rabbit," an opportunity to visit with the day’s "guest of honor." Families are invited to bring their camera for photos of their children with live rabbits, courtesy of Romero's Rabbits. General admission is $10/adult and $8/child; member admission is $6/adult and $5/child. Pre-paid reservations are required by April 13. To reserve tickets call the Center for History: 574.235.9664

South Bend Chocolate Café - 122 S. Michigan St.

Visit the Bunny and make memories that will last. The staff at the Chocolate Café will take your photo with the Big Bunny and provide you with a print too! Who knows you might even get a special treat from the Furry One as well. Don’t forget to pick-up goodies for your Easter basket while visiting.

Enjoy balloon sculpted bunnies, by Balloon Specialties, and pick from the bunches of beautifully colored helium and themed mylar balloons. Balloon prices range from $.50 on up.

Live Rabbits and Chicks 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
College Football Hall of Fame Gridiron

The St. Joseph County 4-H Rabbit & Poultry Club will offer demonstrations and petting of Dutch rabbits. Chicks and the rare breed of rabbits, Blanc de Hotot, will also be on display.

Ceramic Egg & Other Cool Stuff Painting* 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Grab a paintbrush and choose from a ceramic eggs, bunnies and more! A great project for everyone! A special glaze is applied to all ceramic projects while you wait allowing you to take your work of art home that day.

Bunny Activities & Carrot Fun* 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
HealthWorks! Kids' Museum - 111 W. Jefferson Blvd. 2nd Floor.

Spring into action at HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum. Meet the HealthWorks! Carrot and see what makes this veggie the chosen favorite of Peter Rabbit. Activities focusing on spring and eggs are planned throughout the day. Regular admission rates apply.

Egg-Spress Horse Drawn Wagon Rides 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Located in front of The South Bend Chocolate Café – 122 S. Michigan St.

Climb aboard the horse drawn wagon Egg-spress for a quick bunny’s eye view of downtown. The ride is free and tips for horse treats are accepted. See the wagon master to pick-up a number to avoid waiting in line.

Kids! Feel like hopping around? Ever run with an egg on a spoon? Then get ready…Set….Go! We'll see you out on the Gridiron for a hoppin’ good time.

Face Painting 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

A one-of-a-kind work of art for your one-of-a-kind kid face. (FREE)

Lil’ Kids Egg Hunt 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
Tippecanoe Place – 620 W. Washington St.

Ages 6 years and under only! Hey kids plan on hunting for special eggs on the lawn at the old mansion! If it’s raining we’ll move the hunt indoors. Bring a basket or bag for gathering all the goodies! Hunt for children 1-3 years old will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. Children 4-6 years old will begin their hunt at 2:00 p.m. Both hunts will last until all the eggs are found. (FREE)
Plan on having lunch at Tippecanoe Place before or after the Hunt. A special menu just for kids and their families will be available. Call 574.234.9077 for details and reservations.

Achievement Forum of South Bend Easter Hunt 1:00 p.m.
Howard Park

Skip across the river and make sure to bring your own basket and camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 12:30 to take pictures with the little ones while waiting for the hunt to start. The hunt begins promptly at 1:00. There will be prizes for lucky children that find the giant jelly beans with a sticker. One prize per child, child must be present and all prizes are first come first served and are of a limited availability. Ages 10 and under only. (FREE)

Family Day 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
South Bend Museum of Art – 120 S. St. Joseph St.

Admission to the art galleries and select art activities are FREE to all! Join us for Springtime Family Fun! Use beads, pom poms, and pipe cleaners to make cute little bunnies! Try your hand at marbling paper as we swirl shaving cream into one-of-a-kind paper Easter eggs! (FREE) Or a very special activity of decorating a yarn ornament that will last for years to come is only $2 per person, free for museum members.

Chicory Café – 105 E. Jefferson (corner of Jefferson & Michigan)

Kids and parents are invited to hop over and take a break for story time featuring readings of popular bunny "tales" like Peter Rabbit. (FREE)

Grab a cup of coffee for you, and flavored milk and beignets for the little ones.

Admission to tour this one-of-a-kind interactive football museum is only $3 per child and $5 per adult. April 16, 2011 only.
